‘Monkeys Fishing for the Moon‘ refers to a Chinese fairytale. It’s about a group of monkeys who saw the image of the moon in water and were fascinated by what they saw. They wanted to possess it. So they held each other’s feet, made themselves into a long chain, hung from a branch over the water so the last monkey of the chain could fish for the moon. But whenever his hands touched the water, the moon’s image was scattered.

I take 100 bank notes, then from each one I remove 1%, then put the 100 fragments together to create the 101st note.
